Maximum Input, Maximum Output.

Research. Plan.
Oversight that holds.

MAX IO is a research and strategy practice. I find what’s holding an operation back, design the plan, and stay on the work that matters — using systems I run myself.

01

Research

See how the work actually runs before recommending a tool.

02

Plan

A sequence the founder can execute without me in the room.

03

Oversight

Stay on the line so priorities do not drift after the document is filed.

What I offer

Businesses and individuals.

Trades, service businesses, SMEs, and startups.

For businesses

  • Research & oversight

Independent research into how the operation actually runs, then high-level oversight so priorities stay honest after the plan is written.

  • Bottleneck diagnosis

Where growth leaks — time, money, follow-up — and what to fix first.

  • Growth infrastructure

Lead capture, pipeline, and systems that convert attention into revenue.

  • Automation & AI

Where it genuinely fits — lead response, follow-ups, scheduling, reporting — sequenced, not bolted on.

  • Business systems

Process mapping, workflows, and admin that does not live in one person’s head.

  • Positioning

Offer design, messaging, and the competitive edge that makes sales easier.

Founders, executives, and operators.

For individuals

  • AI as a daily multiplier

Practical workflows, tool selection, and systems that make models useful — not a prompt library you never open.

  • Personal automation

Recurring communication, admin, and scheduling handled so attention stays on the work that matters.

  • Execution cadence

A weekly operating rhythm with defined reviews, so the plan does not die on Monday.

  • Decision frameworks

Prioritisation, delegation, and resource allocation — decide once, stop re-deciding.

  • Communication

How you present ideas, pitch initiatives, and lead a team.

  • Time and energy

Calendar, routines, and environment designed for output rather than theatre.

Theses

Arguments under the practice.

AI-native operations

Central thesis

Agents as standing staff for research and drafts. A person on every action that leaves the building. Encode the repeatable parts of a business so they compound instead of walking out the door.

Infrastructure as OS

Sovereign stack

Treat compute, documents and agents as one operating surface — not a pile of subscriptions that vanish when a vendor changes the price.

The Compound Machine

Feedback loops

Research informs systems. Systems prove the advisory. The advisory funds better research.

Ventures

Where the work lives.

MAX IO Group

The practice · Brisbane

Sole trader, ABN 22 426 251 651. Research, strategy, and the operator systems I use to run the work. Maximum Input, Maximum Output is the line: more signal in, more finished work out — without a theatre of tools.

In use

ArmaTech Industries

Separate company

Light manufacturing and platforms, Brisbane. Public line: armatech-industries.com. A company that cannot put its engineering data in an arbitrary cloud is why the Lab is sovereign. Company engineering is not this site.

In progress

Co-Lab

Fortitude Valley rooms, studio and event space

Meeting rooms, a media studio and event space at 52 McLachlan Street, operated as a project of ArmaTech Industries. Running a facility keeps the operations advice honest: leases, fit-out and floor constraints are not theoretical.

The Lab

In use

Self-hosted AI environment

A local operating environment for research and build work: conversation with local and hosted models, retrieval over my own documents, and a governor on what an agent is allowed to do. Core function does not depend on a vendor staying up.

Digital Brain

In use

Private knowledge graph

Decisions, documents and events linked into a graph and a dated timeline — so “why did we decide that” has an answer a year later. Served on hardware I own.

MAX IO App

In use

Ask · Build · System

One shell for the work. Three modes, no dashboard maze. Outbound actions stay drafts until I release them.

Pipeline

In use

Leads to invoices

A small CRM that tracks work through to paid invoices. Customer data stays in files I can read without the software.

Knowledge vaults

In use

Second brain

Two document vaults — personal operations, and a separate company vault — searchable from the same console. Sensitive material stays on local models.

Public profile

An overview of the research and systems. Not a case-study factory. When client work is finished and cleared to publish, it will appear here with real numbers.

Projects

Built to operate.

The Lab

Conversation with local and hosted models, retrieval over my own documents, a governor on what an agent may do. Core function does not depend on a vendor staying up. This is the environment I use; the paper on sandboxed agents is the argument for it.
